How It Started

My biking journey began back in 2020, when I was just 8 years old. At the time, I was still being tested for ADHD, and not knowing what was going on made everything feel really challenging and confusing.

But I clearly remember how much fun it was to hit the trails. Riding kept me focused and calm in a way nothing else did. The pure sensation of being on the bike—the flow, the movement, the focus it demanded—was what truly hooked me and brought me to where I am today. This was back before we even knew I had ADHD—back when everything felt confusing and out of control without any explanation.

But even then, I noticed something amazing: the symptoms that usually made life so hard just... disappeared while I was biking. It was like I was cured for those moments on the trail. My mind quieted down, the restlessness faded, and I could focus sharply on every root, rock, and turn ahead. The constant mental noise vanished, replaced by pure flow and presence.

Looking back, that was my first real taste of how mountain biking could flip the script on ADHD—turning what felt like a deficit into an asset when the world moved fast enough to match my brain.
